ARUP Laboratories’ website, http://www.arupconsult.com, has been recognized as a 2008 Laureate by the Computerworld Honors Program. The Computerworld Honors Program unites Chairmen and CEOs of the world’s foremost information technology companies to recognize the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. Members of the Chairmen's Committee, a group of 100 Chairman/CEOs of global technology companies, nominate individuals and organizations around the world whose visionary applications of information technology promote positive social and economic progress.
 
ARUP Laboratories received a Bronze award in the Miscellaneous/Professional website category for its web publication, http://www.arupconsult.com. The WorldWideWeb Health Awards recognizes the best Web-based health-related content for consumers and professionals with a goal of providing a “seal of quality” for electronic health information.
 
ARUP Laboratories, a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and a leader in innovative laboratory research and development, was presented with a Gold 2007 eHealthcare Leadership Award for Best Design for Physician/Clinician-Focused Web Site. ARUP's Web site, named ARUP Consult®, The Physician's Guide to Laboratory Test Selection and Interpretation (http://www.arupconsult.com), was selected from more than 1,100 entries.
 
Utah Business magazine and Wasatch Digital IQ announced the winners of the first annual IQ Awards for 2008. In an event celebrating the technological advances of 30 local companies, 10 were ultimately recognized as the "best of the best." Of the dozens of companies nominated, ARUP Laboratories walked away with one of those 10 coveted accolades, capturing the Life Sciences/Health Care award.
 
ARUP Consult received an honorable mention in the Consumer Software category of the Sixth Annual Utah Innovation Awards. More than 60 professionals from Utah private industries, government, and academic communities evaluated a group of innovative products from Utah’s technology industry and granted awards to those who exemplify the spirit of innovation in science and technology.
 

ARUP Laboratories’ website, http://www.arupconsult.com, won an Award of Excellence in the online section of the Society for Technical Communication’s chapter competition. This technical and scientific writing society evaluates professional technical communication, including medical and scientific communication.

 

The ARUP Consult app was recently reviewed by The Journal of the American Medical Association. According to Dr. Paulette Mehta from the University of Arkansas' Department of Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology, "Of the various diagnostic testing apps, the ARUP Consult app stands out for its authoritative background information, usability, interactivity, and cross-referencing with hyperlinking of source references."
