Specimen Required

Patient Preparation
Collect

24-hour urine. Refrigerate during collection. Also acceptable: Random urine specimens and urine supernate.

Specimen Preparation

Transfer two 4 mL aliquots from well-mixed 24 hour collection to individual ARUP standard transport tubes. (Min: 4 mL)

Storage/Transport Temperature

Refrigerated.

Remarks

Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form.
