Coenzyme Q deficiency is a rare genetic disorder. Coenzyme Q10, Total (0081119) can be used to monitor replacement therapy in coenzyme Q10 deficiency. However, this test is not useful in coenzyme Q10 deficiency diagnosis.
Serum creatine kinase, lactic acid levels, and muscle biopsy are the preferred tests for diagnosing coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) deficiency syndrome.
